How is the AUTOGROOM powered?

AUTOGROOM is powered by a lithium-ion battery. A single charge lasts for 7-8 hours ensuring that a standard sized football pitch can be covered in a session. It has its own specially designed charger which is included in your package.

Navigation

AUTOGROOM moves across the pitch in lines meticulously covering every inch and following the layering direction of the artificial turf – which is optimal for the fibres.
The device position is determined by GPS and other geo-positioning methods and controlled automatically as part of the selected care programme – via the app.

Control via app

AUTOGROOM can be controlled via an iOS or Android smartphone using an app. It features a selection of greenkeeping programmes to suit all pitches and the start time can be pre-selected and the device left to operate unsupervised, for example, overnight.

How safe is AUTOGROOM?

The maintenance unit is entirely safe, designed for purpose and has been rigorously tested. It has a radar sensor and can detect obstacles – be that an inanimate object, a human or animal – from a distance. An impact sensor sited on top will immobilise  AUTOGROOM, in the event of a collision it will simply halt.

What effect does AUTOGROOM have on infill over time?

When used regularly AUTOGROOM decompacts and redistributes infill more evenly. Over time it helps to prevent the movement and discharge of infill particles reducing depletion and helping to maintain your pitch more effectively.

How does AUTOGROOM handle electrostatic charge caused by friction?

Some artificial turf pitches carry electrostatic charge. This is not an issue for AUTOGROOM and will not affect performance or behaviour in any way.
